Hello Families,

Today is the first week of the previously announced two-week closure of all schools in Ontario to help stop the spread of COVID-19. The closure has been extended indefinitely as announced Monday by the Education Minister.

I want to let you know that both the school and the WCDSB wish to stay in communication with you and we will keep you updated on the latest developments, resources and any impact on schools and learning. The best way is to follow us on twitter @sttimothy3 and as well check our school website

I know there are many questions that you have regarding the continuation of learning. The ministry of education has launched a website: ontario.ca/learnathome where students can continue their learning for the time while schools are closed as well as the Waterloo Catholic District School Boards STEAMDays

One of our greatest priorities in moving distance learning forward is to determine whether each student has access to a learning device (cell phone, iPad, Chromebook, Android tablet, etc.) If you are able to read this I will assume you do however if your child(ren) does not, please complete the following form. It can be found on our website as well. If you know of a family who may not have access this email, passing on the message by phone or contacting Mr. Cinti would be appreciated.

Father Melvin continues to celebrate Mass at our school parish St. Aloysius and is looking for virtual parishioners. You can connect with Father @StAlsChurchKW or st.aloysius.ca

Nutrition for Learning has mobile locations set up, including times at the Doon Pioneer Park Community Center parking lot down the street from St. Timothy. https://www.nutritionforlearning.ca/

Our ELL Teacher Mrs. Syrota has also provided the following link to support our learners and families with information in many different languages.

Please know that each and every one of you are missed and that the staff at St. Timothy will pray for everyone every day. We will see each other soon and for me personally, that gives me great hope.

Please stay safe and healthy.

St. Timothy School Staff
